Pet Parent Resources

Is your dog starting to slow down? or unable to on and off the couch? Like humans, as dogs age they can begin to have arthritis that causes them pain, which leads to them moving less and less, ultimately resulting in muscle loss. I don't want pet parents to face this challenging stage in theirs dogs life alone. I want to help you navigate your aging senior dog's journey.  I aim to focus on educating pet parents on common conditions that affect aging dogs and ways to help them thrive while managing these conditions and preventing loss of function.  Watch for new blogs, videos, handouts, and more to learn how you can help your aging senior dog!

Senior Dog Workbook

Picture
This workbook walks you through recognizing early signs of aging to making an informed end of life decision for your canine companion. I created this workbook after hearing too many stories of pet parents feeling unprepared to make end of life decisions for their pet or caught off guard when their veterinarian recommended euthanasia. Leaving pet parents wishing they could have done more earlier to help their canine companion.  As our pets age they can begin to experienced pain and/or loss of mobility. This is commonly related to arthritis or other degenerative conditions. The key to having a happy and healthy senior dog is preventative care, knowing early signs of aging, keeping your dog active, and assessing quality of life. In this workbook you will find signs of early aging including wellness questionnaire, two mobility measurement tools, dog pain scale, and quality of life assessment tools.
