Senior Dog Wellness Workshop

Picture
This workbook walks you through recognizing early signs of aging to making an informed end of life decision for your canine companion. I created this workbook after hearing too many stories of pet parents feeling unprepared to make end of life decisions for their pet or caught off guard when their veterinarian recommended euthanasia. Leaving pet parents wishing they could have done more earlier to help their canine companion.  As our pets age they can begin to experienced pain and/or loss of mobility. This is commonly related to arthritis or other degenerative conditions. The key to having a happy and healthy senior dog is preventative care, knowing early signs of aging, keeping your dog active, and assessing quality of life. In this workbook you will find signs of early aging including wellness questionnaire, two mobility measurement tools, dog pain scale, and quality of life assessment tools.

THE SENIOR DOG WORKSHOP

"Your presentation and discussion yesterday was wonderful, though hard to hear and think about at times.  At the end, I was actually left feeling positive with a way to concretely track how our girl [NAME] is doing, and from the grades and markers it seems she is still very happy and enjoying life!!  We will make a plan now for her end time and know we will have done everything we could for her to help her have her best life."
