Quantifying pain: Do you ever wonder if your dog is in pain? PainTrace® has the answer.
Traditional methods of assessing your pet’s pain have been based on subjective information, although this is valuable it is not typically able to pinpoint the location of the pain. There is a new revolutionary pain monitoring system that can help better identify where pain is originating and
quantify how bad that pain is, it is called PainTrace®.

PainTrace® is the first objective measurement for pain in both humans and animals. This innovative design quantifies pain by measuring direct pain signals to the brain. This is a great noninvasive way to give your pup a voice and to answer the question… Is my dog in pain?
PainTrace® works by applying 2 sensors to your pup’s skin on the chest near the back of the arm. The dog can them wear the device and move about for the examination. These are attached to a device that collects the data in real time and displays the pain signals in graph form on a screen. You will see the graph changes as pain is elicited during the dog's physical evaluation.  Not only can it tell us if you dog is in pain it can tell us the severity of that pain. This can help rehabilitation specialist pinpoint and confirm the cause of pain and better address the source of the pain quickly. The benefits are endless. This device can detect even the slightest pain aiding in early diagnosis of conditions like arthritis, which allows for better management. It can also provide priceless information about your beloved pets comfort level as they near end of life. This can aide pet parents in making the best decisions for their quality of life. This can truly give a voice to the voiceless.
