 As our furry companions grow older, they, like humans, experience a range of age-related changes that can affect their mobility, comfort, and overall quality of life. Rehabilitation, which encompasses various therapeutic exercises and treatments, plays a crucial role in ensuring that senior dogs continue to enjoy their golden years to the fullest.
 As much as we adore our canine companions, sometimes they face health challenges just like we do. One such issue is canine muscle atrophy, a condition where muscles waste away due to various reasons like injury, disease, or simply lack of use.
 Since IVDD is a disease with a strong genetic component it is difficult to prevent. Dogs at increased risk of IVDD are chondrodystrophic dogs (dogs with short legs and long backs) and dogs with a known family history of the disease. But there is good news.
 Have you picked something up wrong and your back remains sore for days? Just like with humans, dogs can struggle with back pain ranging from mild, like the example above to more serious. The more serious issue could be Intervertebral disc disease (IVDD). This is one of the most common causes of back pain in canines and can lead to reduced mobility and quality of life.
 Degenerative Myelopathy (DM) is a disease affecting the spinal cord, resulting in slowly progressive hind limb weakness and paralysis. The symptoms result from degeneration of the white matter of the spinal cord.
