When out and about shopping for your loved ones, or if your like us, ordering it all online, make sure to include a few things for them! Here is a list of 5 of our favorite things senior dogs could use.

5 Things your dog would love under the tree:
  • An Orthopedic Memory Foam Bed- Old dogs love their beds… even though they shouldnt spend all their time there. These beds can help alleviate pets existing joint pain and provide a comfortable to lay. Get one that has a slip cover just in case they decide to steal from the table and bring a snack to bed.
  • Kong Senior- They now makes a senior friendly toy! Its designed to provide a gentle and comfortable chewing outlet while offering enrichment and satisfying an older dog's instinctual need to play, even when they have slowed down a bit.
  • A snuffle mat- Its functional in that it helps quick eaters slow down, but it also helps your senior canine have mental stimulation- it works out their brain. It also has them Initiate sniffing and foraging centers of the brain, which are enjoyable for your dog.
  • Booties- if your senior dog tends to slip and slide around the house or when out and about, nonslip booties would be a wonderful gift under the tree. They also help protect their paws from extreme temperatures.
  • A lick mat- These are fun for dogs because they get an extra little snack, however they are also very beneficial. The action of licking created by the lick mat, encourages the production of saliva which helps break down food. Slowing down eating reduces bloat risks and improves digestion.

Is there anything you would add? Anything your dog loves? Comment below!
