As the weather warms up, it’s the perfect time to offer your dog cool, refreshing snacks that keep them hydrated and happy. Fresh, dog-safe fruits and veggies can be a fun way to add nutrition while also helping them beat the heat!
Here are 10 healthy and hydrating snack ideas your pup will love:

1. Sliced Cucumbers 🥒Crisp, refreshing, and full of water, cucumbers are a low-calorie snack perfect for warm days. Slice them into rounds or sticks for easy munching.
2. Watermelon (No Seeds or Rind) 🍉Sweet and hydrating! Watermelon is about 92% water, making it a fantastic treat. Just be sure to remove all seeds and the rind before offering it to your dog.
3. Mango Chunks (Peeled & Pit-Free) 🥭Mangoes are rich in vitamins like A, B6, and C. Peel the mango, remove the pit, and cut it into bite-sized pieces for a tropical snack your dog will adore.
4. Chilled Carrots 🥕Carrots are naturally sweet, crunchy, and loaded with beta-carotene. Chill them in the fridge before serving for an extra refreshing crunch!
5. Ice Cubes with a Splash of Broth 🧊Simple and fun — freeze ice cubes with a little splash of low-sodium chicken or beef broth for a tasty, cooling treat.
6. Frozen Strawberries 🍓Strawberries are packed with antioxidants and fiber. Freeze them whole or sliced for an icy, sweet snack.
7. Frozen Green Beans 🌱Green beans are full of fiber and vitamins. Freeze them for a crunchy, satisfying snack that’s great for hydration and healthy digestion.
8. Coconut Water Ice Pops 🥥Coconut water (unsweetened and additive-free) is naturally hydrating. Pour it into an ice cube tray and freeze for a tropical, electrolyte-boosting snack.
9. Blueberries (Fresh or Frozen) 🫐Blueberries are tiny but mighty! Packed with antioxidants, they make a perfect low-calorie treat, especially when served cold.
10. Apples (No Seeds or Core) 🍏Apples are a crunchy, refreshing favorite — just be sure to remove the seeds and core, which can be harmful to dogs.

A Few Safety Tips:Always introduce new foods slowly.
Wash fruits and veggies thoroughly.
Cut snacks into appropriate sizes for your dog’s breed and chewing style.

When in doubt, check with your veterinarian!
